About me…

Hello!

I’m Kerry. I was born and grew up in Carlisle, Cumbria, in the North West of England.

From a young age, I loved reading and held a life-long dream of one day writing my own novel.

I studied English at Royal Holloway, University of London and went on to work in nationals magazines and newspapers for 20 years, specialising in real-life stories.

Being a guest at a friend’s wedding gave me the seed of an idea for a story that would begin with a group of strangers sitting down for dinner together.

In 2014, I moved to Manchester with my husband and we had two sons. In 2020, I completed a writing course with Curtis Brown Creative and set to work on my first book - going back to that table of strangers.

My debut novel SEVEN REASONS TO MURDER YOUR DINNER GUESTS was published in the UK and US in September 2025.

My second murder mystery book, A REUNION TO DIE FOR is due for release in October 2026.
